Oxford County Public Health is doing research about what makes it easy and what makes it hard for people to access opioid-related services. We’re looking for people who use or take opioids, friends and family of people who use or take opioids and people who may use opioids in the future. Opioids can be legal or illegal drugs like fentanyl, heroin, methadone, codeine and hydromorph.
If you want to share your experiences of finding and using services in Oxford County in an interview, please contact Laura Gibbs at 519-539-9800 ext. 3516 or healthevidence@oxfordcounty.ca. If you have questions about ethical issues in the project, you can contact the Public Health Ontario Research Ethics Coordinator at 647-260-7206 or ethics@oahpp.ca.
Interview participants will receive a $20 gift card as a thank you gift.
Call to Action: On April 6, the Canadian Association of Community Health Centres wrote to Prime Minister Trudeau and key cabinet ministers with recommendations on the mandate and composition of the forthcoming Advisory Council on Implementation of National Pharmacare.
We are asking everyone to communicate these core recommendations to your local MP as well and for them to bring them forward to Prime Minister Trudeau and the federal government.
Visit the Canadian Association of Community Health Centres for more information on this and other advocacy initiatives.
